You may see a different streak experience
Simply Guitar currently has two different streak experiences.
Depending on your app version, device and account, you may see either Weekly Streaks or Daily Streaks.
If your app looks different from someone else's, that's completely expected.
What counts towards a streak?
Your streak grows when you complete one of these activities:
A lesson within a course
Play a song from Songs or Play
A practice session
💡 Your streak can only increase once per day (Daily Streaks) or once per week (Weekly Streaks), even if you complete multiple activities.
Where can I check my streak?
You can check your streak at any time by looking for the 🔥 flame icon in the top-right corner of the main screen.
The number next to the flame shows your current streak. Tap the flame to see more details, including your recent activity and any streak freezes you have available.
Weekly Streaks
🌟 What is a Weekly Streak?
With Weekly Streaks, your streak increases each week that you complete at least one eligible practice activity.
Each week you practice, you add another step to your streak.
❄️ What are Streak Freezes?
We know life can get busy - that's where Streak Freezes come in.
Everyone starts with 2 streak freezes.
After every 5 consecutive weeks of practicing, you'll earn 1 more freeze.
If you miss a week, a streak freeze is used automatically (if you have one available) to protect your streak.
If you miss a week but don't have any streak freezes remaining, your streak will reset.
Daily Streaks
🔥 What is a Daily Streak?
With Daily Streaks, your streak increases each day that you complete at least one eligible practice activity.
Watching your streak grow day after day is a great way to build a consistent practice routine! 🎉
❄️ What are Streak Freezes?
Streak freezes can be used to protect your streak.
Everyone starts with 2 streak freezes.
Every 3 consecutive practice days earns you another streak freeze, up to a maximum of 2 freezes.
If you miss a day, a streak freeze is used automatically (if you have one available) to keep your streak going.
If you miss a day but don't have any streak freezes remaining, your streak will reset.

Are streaks shared across profiles?
No. Each profile has its own separate streak, so your progress and streak freezes aren't shared between profiles.
Taking a longer break?
If something stops you from playing for a while (like travel, vacation or health reasons), get in touch with us. We can manually update your streak so you don’t lose your progress.
